Whether you are just starting out or a seasoned competitor, Performance Plus has a class for you. 

Private lessons are available with Nancy Droukas, multiple OTCh trainer and member of the prestigious 200 Club.

FUNdamentals FOR ATTITUDE AND ATTENTION
This class lays the foundation for competition obedience.  It works on increasing your dog’s focus and building a working relationship between you and your dog, which is valuable no matter what sport you choose to participate in.   Dogs are taught how to physically and mentally respond to the command “watch”.  Handlers are taught how to motivate and interact with their dog to make themselves more interesting than what is going on around them.  This is a progressive class that runs in 6 week sessions.  Pre-registration and instructor’s approval required.

FUNdamentals for HEELING AND FOOTWORK
This class covers footwork and handling skills, as well as the mechanics of  come-up sits, right, left and about turns, and changes of pace.  This is a progressive class that runs in 6 week sessions. Pre-registration and instructor’s approval required.

FUNdamentals for NOVICE
This class covers the elements of heeling, figure 8, stands, fronts, finishes, and stays. This is a progressive class that runs in 6 week sessions. Pre-registration and instructor’s approval required.

FUNdamentals for Open  and  FUNdamentals for UTILITY
In these classes you will learn how to teach your dog the skills needed to perform all the Open and Utility exercises…all while having fun with lots of play and motivational games.  These are progressive classes that run in 6 week sessions. Pre-registration and instructor’s approval required. 

HEELING...Proofing and Polishing
This is a proofing and problem solving class.  Each week one or two elements of precision heeling and attention are covered.  It runs in 6 week sessions that are ongoing.  This is not a drop-in class.  Class size is limited to 12 people and dogs.  Pre-registration and instructor's approval required. 

OPEN...Proofing and Polishing
This is a proofing and problem solving class.  Each week one or two of the Open exercises are covered.  It runs in 6 week sessions that are ongoing.  This is not a drop-in class.  Class size is limited to 6 people and dogs.  Pre-registration and instructor's approval required. 

UTILITY...Proofing and Polishing

POWER HEELING
This is a fun, fast-paced, motivational group heeling class.  The emphasis is on developing a happy, focused working partner as you practice the mechanics for precision heeling.  Toys, treats, and play are used amongst distractions.  Drop-in class

NOVICE | OPEN | UTILITY RUN-THRUS
Take advantage of show-like conditions; a mock judge will put you through the class exercises.  Train yur dog to perform the exercises anywhere, anytime, anyhow.  This is a training situation so you can give your dog treats, pet him, and play motivational games to facilitate the learning experience as you prepare for competition.  Drop-in class

RALLY RULES AND MOVES
This new competition sport is loads of fun!  It's obedience with a new twist.  It covers the fundamentals of heelwork, halts (automatic sits), downs, pivots, recalls, finishes, left and right about turns, circles, figure eights, and spirals.  In this 6 week class you will learn how to teach your dog to perform the various competition obedience maneuvers.  You will become familiar with the signs and learn what is expected at each station.  You will learn the rules of the game as to what is score-able and what is not.  This sport was designed to allow handlers and their dogs to have fun and earn titles while competing in a more relaxed environment.  Pre-registration and completion of Basic Manners Plus or equivalent required.

RALLY RUN-THRUS
Each dog and handler navigates a course comprised of various obedience exercises.  Each course is different, and consists of numbered signs that give directions for what exercise is to be performed at each location. This is a training situation so you can give your dog treats and pet him to facilitate the learning experience as you prepare for competition.  Drop-in class offering coaching and critiquing.  Call for availability.
