Intro to Nose Work is designed to introduce dogs and handlers to the foundations of scent work in a fun, supportive environment. Dogs will learn how to use their natural hunting abilities to search independently, solve scent puzzles, and build confidence along the way.
Nose work is a great activity for dogs of all ages, breeds, and experience levels. It provides both mental and physical enrichment while giving dogs an appropriate outlet for one of their strongest natural instincts — sniffing!
Throughout the class, we’ll introduce foundational search skills, help handlers learn how to read their dog’s behavior, and begin building the teamwork needed to progress in the sport.
