Becky Shipps is a dedicated instructor with a passion for performance sports and a proven track record in competitive scent work, rally, dock diving, and conformation. She has successfully trialed several dogs to multiple scent work titles across NACSW, AKC, and USCSS venues. Her top scent work partner, Brandy, is currently pursuing her ELT-CH title and recently earned her AKC Scent Work Master title. In the conformation ring, Becky has trained and handled two Black and Tan Coonhounds to their AKC conformation championships as well as multiple group placements. Her experience raising and training helps her bring dogs to their full potential both in and out of the ring.
Becky joined the PPK9 Team in 2024 as a scent work instructor, bringing her wealth of competition experience into the classroom. She is known for her clear, supportive teaching style that meets each dog and handler team where they are and helps them progress with confidence. Becky has a keen eye for reading dogs, a talent for breaking down complex skills into achievable steps, and a genuine enthusiasm for seeing her students succeed – whether they’re brand new to scent work or aiming for high-level titles.
