Interactive Feeder Toys – October 2021

Mental stimulation is often overlooked as an essential part of a dog’s well-being. Physical exercise alone is not going to relax your hyper dog or relieve the stress of your overly anxious dog. Dogs need mental stimulation for brain development and to live a happy and enriched life.

Benefits of Interactive Feeding Toys:

1. Problem solving: These toys are fun and encourage dogs to develop problem solving skills. This is especially important for your growing puppy’s brain!

2. Boredom buster: A bored dog is a destructive dog! Instead of leaving them alone with nothing to do all day, alleviate boredom by encouraging your dog to entertain himself with something productive. Keeping their mind occupied keeps them out of trouble.

3. Anxiety relief: Have you ever noticed the busier you are, the less you dwell on the stressors in your life? The same is true for dogs! Interactive toys are excellent distractions for your worried dog’s mind. These toys, when combined with behavior modification tools, may also help alleviate the effects of separation anxiety.

4. Slow down feeding: If your dog inhales his food, he could be at risk of choking, vomiting or even bloat. Interactive toys that dispense food offer the same benefit as a slow-feed bowl but are much more entertaining.

Be sure to stop in and check out the NEW Interactive Toys we have available in our retail section today!

Mark your calendars – Wicked will reveal his ‘Pick of the Month’ on the first Wednesday of every month. #WickedWednesday
